Should I pay off my traffic ticket?
In short, NO! In North Carolina, there are certain traffic offenses that do not require a mandatory court appearance. Those cases can be paid off through the County Clerk’s office. By paying off one of those citations, however, you are pleading guilty and in many cases acquiring points on your driver’s license and insurance without even realizing it. For example, paying off a 39 mph in a 25 mph zone ticket can cause your insurance premium to increase 25% for the next three years in addition to adding three points on your driver’s license.

Wish it was possible to give more than 5 stars. A few years back I was in a bad car accident. With a lot of bills resulting from this accident I figured it would be smart of me to higher an attorney to represent me.
